Our facility in Sint-Oedenrode is a specialized and approved CATT treatment site. CATT, short for Controlled Atmosphere Temperature Treatment, is an environmentally friendly treatment method against plant pests. During this treatment, the plants are exposed to a combination of different temperatures, air compositions and a certain level of humidity. This treatment, which we use for our cold and freezer storage, is also used as a quarantine treatment for imports and exports.
Our Veghel location has achieved a BREEAM “Outstanding” rating: the highest possible certificate for sustainably built environments. In fact, our distribution center has been named one of the most sustainable cold-storage facilities in the Netherlands. With this recognition, we demonstrate that sustainability and innovation are central to our cold storage and freezing facilities.
Van Acht Logistics is licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) as a phytosanitary inspection location for import and export inspections. The KCB, short for Quality Control Bureau, carries out these inspections under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) and can draw up phytosanitary documents and certificates if required.
We have a customs warehouse C license. This (economic) customs regulation allows us to store goods, coming from outside the EU, whose final destination is not yet certain. During the cold storage of these goods, no import duties have to be paid. We apply this form of cold storage a few hundred times a year. This makes us an independent customs agency that can take care of the clearance of goods, including the application for EUR certificates and Certificates of Origin at the Chamber of Commerce.

Our cold and freezer storage has a temperature range down to – 18 °C.
We aim for a long-term relationship, so we know your company’s storage needs in detail and can meet them. We are happy to help you when you are looking for long-term cold storage. However, there is no strict minimum or maximum term; we agree this in consultation.
The full storage capacity for cold and freezer storage is 36,000 pallet spaces. We are happy to coordinate with you to see if we can provide your desired storage quantity.
To ensure the temperature of your goods, we work with advanced systems, tools and specialized staff. Thus, we are able to store the goods under exactly the right conditions and ensure that these conditions are guaranteed throughout the storage period. Temperature data can also be provided upon request.
We work with market rates, which include standard logistics processes. However, we do charge an energy surcharge for cold and freezer storage. The exact cost depends on the goods, storage period and additional requirements. Feel free to communicate these needs so that we can provide a quote.
As a customer, you are responsible for insuring your goods. However, we do everything we can to prevent damage or loss. Our conditioned storage fully complies with the Nekovri conditions, ensuring your goods are optimally protected.
